About the role

Children Social Worker Housing Post (for 16/17-year-olds) up to £52,116 per annum – Children Services Social Work Directorate and Housing & Safer Communities Directorate 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with our young people (16/17-year-olds) in Housing and Children Services. You will be working primarily with 16/17-year-olds and other young people to provide advice, support, and assistance to those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. You will undertake Child & Family, and joint assessments with the 1st Base Team to determine duties under the relevant legislations.

The Young People Pathway (1st Base) in the Royal Borough of Greenwich is a well-established team that sits within the Housing Inclusion Service and is renowned for its collaborative and integrated approach to service delivery resulting in positive outcomes for young people. 

We are looking for a qualified, registered children and families Social Worker, ideally with at least 3 post qualifying experience of direct social work practice in assessments, experience of working with 16/17-year-olds in regards their Housing needs and have knowledge of the Housing legislation.
