This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on successful applicants including an Enhanced Children’s Department of Barring Services check.Our Team Managers are central to driving excellent social work practice and making a positive difference to children, young people and their families in our community. You will be responsible for delivering services to children and young people through the operational management and supervision of social work teams. You will focus on working with MASH colleagues and managing case allocations, having casework oversight including auditing of cases. You will offer reflective supervision and support the progress and professional development of each member of your team. You will be able to demonstrate what excellent social work practice is, together with sound safeguarding knowledge. We are looking for passionate, caring and dedicated Team Managers, with at least 3 years’ experience managing an assessment team, who know what excellent social work practice looks like, and with your skills and knowledge you will oversee all casework undertaken by your team. You will also have excellent analytical and writing skills and the ability to incorporate the Strengthening Families Model in your management role which builds on families’ strengths with a focus on protective factors.
