We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the role of Deputy Team Manager in the Leaving Care Team (16+)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and passionate deputy team manager to work alongside team managers in supporting, developing and leading teams within the Leaving Care Service.
As a deputy team manager you will support the team manager with day to day supervisory responsibility of a team of qualified social workers, ensuring commitment and dedication to improving the lives and outcomes of our care-experienced young people. This will include ensuring the needs of our young people are clearly identified to inform creative and young person focused care planning. Your aims will be to provide the best possible service by championing high standards, driving forward improvements and ensuring that we work closely with other agencies and services. You will also play an integral part of the service we provide at our newly opened Care Leavers Hub, bringing enthusiasm and passion for working directly with young people.
You will be registered with Social Work England and have in-depth knowledge of delivering children’s services, including a good understanding of the issues and legislation involved. With this expertise, you will be a key member of our management team – setting service priorities, planning team workloads, reviewing performance and monitoring standards.
