The Post

We offer a service for disabled children and young people aged  0-25 year olds which is in line with The Children and Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice 2015 and other relevant legislation and guidance.

Successful candidates will be part of  a team of social workers, social work assistants,  short break coordinator and children occupational therapists to provide direct service to disabled children and young people and support our vision of improving education, health and well-being outcomes for our disabled children and young people working in partnership with schools, health colleagues and other local partners  to improve outcomes and prepare children and young people for adulthood.

About you
The Person
 
We are looking for one social worker assistant with excellent communication skills, experienced and enthusiastic   about working with children, young people, young adults and their families. 

This role will offer you the opportunity to be part of a permanent team at our newly established Disabled Children and Young People Service (0-25). You will have supportive managers and you will work within a dedicated team of colleagues with good knowledge around disabled children and young people. You will be provided with regular monthly supervision and annual appraisal to help you grow.
