We have two exciting opportunities to become a Social Worker in the Adolescent Safeguarding team. You will be working with young people from 13-18 years of age who are at risk of extra familial harm and exploitation.
The Specialist Adolescent Service delivers statutory social work to young people at risk of contextual harm, ranging from assessments, child in need, child protection to court proceedings; and the statutory multi agency youth justice provision; and Tier 3 young person’s substance misuse alongside child sexual exploitation and crime prevention interventions. The service is underpinned by the SHIFT UK practice model of relationship-based, trauma informed and breaking the cycle approaches.
As a Social Worker you will be responsible for ensuring that adolescents are safeguarded from harm whilst parents and carers of adolescents are supported in their parenting capacity to protect and nurture them.
