About the role

The Court Team is a specialist team working with children who have met the threshold for legal intervention. The Social Worker will be involved in court work, preparation of assessments and evidence for court and care planning for children and young people.

The role requires:

·Work directly with children and provide a clear and accurate assessment of the needs of the child and their family in each case.

·Devise, implement and review care plans.

·Ensure all statutory responsibilities are well managed, including visiting children, arranging reviews and reporting to the court.

·Complete parenting assessment, together and apart siblings' assessments, risk assessments, transition plans, etc.

·Drive excellence for all children and young people.

·Striving to maintain and improve Hillingdon’s reputation within the Court arena by providing support to social workers to improve the quality of Court Documents. 

About you

We are looking for Social Workers who have children’s rights inscribed in their hearts and children’s aspirations focused in their minds. We are looking for experienced, knowledgeable, skilled social workers who want to invest their energy into achieving better and better outcomes for our children and their families every day.

Successful candidates will:

  • Hold a social work qualification

  • Have at least 12 months' postgraduate experience

  • Be able to evidence a commitment to your own development since qualification

  • Be registered with Social Work England

  • Have previous experience working within a children's Court Team
