About the role

Team Manager - Children First Contact Service (CFCS) 

Welcome and Retention Bonus:

£1000 paid in your first month salary and £1000 paid at the end of your 1st completed year in service
£2000 paid after your 2nd completed year in service
£3000 paid in your 3rd completed year in service and every completed year thereafter.
Whole package totals up to £57,172 (including Retention Bonus)

Team Managers within this service area are able to work flexibly between home and work to meet the needs of the service whilst recognising the benefits that a hybrid model of working can bring.

Reporting to the Head of Service, Team Mangers within the CFCS team are responsible for the day to day running of the service, including MASH.

You will provide direction and management oversight in relation to these cases and specific tasks requested. This includes contacting parents/carers or professionals, authorising all Initial Contacts & MASH Enquiries and provide a robust “managerial oversight” for actions taken and will liaise with the Locality Team managers or managers in other teams regarding strategy meetings.  Your experience and leadership is key to providing the necessary case direction to all staff members (including partner agencies) within the team. Compliance is key to our statutory requirements and as a Team Manager, you will oversee and ensure that your team are delivering against our requirements and all aspects of work are in accordance with safeguarding policy, procedure, and standards, 

Our objective is to ensure the children are at the centre of our recommendations and decision making.

About you

Successful candidates will lead their team to deliver against our statutory social care duties. As a subject matter expert, you must have an in-depth understanding of the current legislation, regulations, and guidance. You will be required to support staff to be creative and innovative in their approach, whilst managing your own time effectively, evidencing outcomes and completing tasks within tight deadlines. You will also be required to quality assure the work delivered by your team.  

In addition, we would expect the successful candidate to demonstrate the following competences:

A recognised Social Work qualification, registered with Social Work England and strong post-qualifying experience.
