Children's Services Social Worker - ASYE Programme
We provide an excellent ASYE programme for Newly Qualified Social Workers and have extensive experience in delivering it. At the last Skills for Care Quality Assurance visit to Greenwich Children Services in Nov 2021 we received positive feedback from the Peer Assessors who commented that, ‘It is apparent that The Royal Borough of Greenwich have an established positive and supportive programme that offers NQSW’s a strong foundation, holding true to the core ASYE principles. The support from senior managers is apparent and helps raise the profile and requirements of the programme. There is a clear and strong quality assurance process regarding assessment with an independent chair of the moderation panel’.
We are looking for talented and motivated social workers who share our values to join our Children’s Services Directorate. You will gain in-depth knowledge and acquire the skills to improve the lives of children and families in a stimulating, learning environment. Greenwich Practice Academy was launched in October 2022 and will deliver training programmes and support new opportunities to give our workforce all the tools they need to succeed. The Practice Academy is part of our ongoing commitment to making our services the best they can be for children and young people. The ASYE Plus programme supports practitioners beyond the ASYE year.
Our ASYE programme is set to begin in June 2024. Prior to this we will take on those who have completed/nearing completion of their degree but are yet to be registered with Social Work England, as Children’s Social Care Officers (£33,957). Once registered with Social Work England (by June/July) you will work with us as a Newly Qualified Social Worker (£39,951 - £40,833) On successful completion of your ASYE, you will continue to work and gain new skills with us as a Qualified Social Worker.
