This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team within the Children in Need service. The team is both thriving and dynamic, which work closely with Early Help colleagues and partner agencies to ensure that the needs of children and families are met at the earliest opportunity.
We are looking for an experienced Practitioner on a part time basis, to join the service working alongside social work colleagues and the existing management team. You will take a pivotal role working alongside partner agencies to assess families and ensure that families receive appropriate support and protection. As well as being a versatile and agile worker, you will have strong communication, engagement and analytical skills to promote and safeguard children and their families.
In June 2022 Ofsted rated the Council’s children’s services ‘outstanding’, placing Camden as one of the best performers in the country.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
You will have detailed working knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and standards in the Children and Young families’ area accompanied by supervisory experience or other relevant management experience and training.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a diverse range of professionals is essential whilst also possessing excellent analytical skills. You will also have a sound understanding of safeguarding, care proceedings and court work.
You will be fully qualified, accredited social work professional and hold a current SWE registration.
