We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our Safeguarding Richmond Team. The team works on a range of legal options to support investigation and protection and accommodation and if required we will provide evidence in court and
we will consider using contingency planning to anticipate complexity and changing circumstances.

Your role as a Team Leader will provide the operational management and leadership support across the service supporting the Head of Safeguarding.

At AfC we offer a hybrid way of working and the Team Leader will have responsibility for the following:

  • Casework supervision of Social Workers

  • Assisting overall management and development of the team

  • Undertaking child and family assessments

  • Carrying out child protection enquiries

  • Safety planning with children and families

  • Direct work with children and young people

  • Care proceedings and court work

Our manageable caseloads, supportive management structure and flexible technology  ensure that we achieve good outcomes for our children, young people and their families and maintain a high-quality service.

About Richmond upon Thames

Achieving for Children (AfC) is a community interest company (a not-for-profit social enterprise) created in 2014 by the Royal Borough of Kingston and the London Borough of Richmond to provide their children’s services. In 2017, the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead joined AfC as our third owner.
