In Lambeth, we are focused on practice that builds relationships, enables and supports change for families, and promotes children’s wellbeing and development. We believe we can achieve this by working with families and children openly and collaboratively.
This belief led to the development of the “Children at the Heart of Practice” framework, our innovative approach which is inspiring and enabling social workers to undertake great relationship-based social work practice.
The service is entering a new chapter in its improvement journey, and we are looking for talented workers who are going to help us develop our Heart of Practice approach and deliver improved outcomes for children and families.
In this specialist role you will not directly manage any social work staff nor budgets, but it is crucial you see yourself as a leader, be assertive with your strong standards of practice, be excellent at collaboration and actively contribute to the new ways of working necessary to transform Children’s Social Care services. You will need to maintain professional independence from the line management of operational services.
For this role you must have a recognised qualification in Social Work, be registered with the Social Work England (SWE) and have some management experience in a Children’s Social Care service. Specialist knowledge in the subject area will be essential.
