About the role

The Community Safety Coordinator supports the coordination of the work of the Community Safety Team. The post holder has primary responsibility for the administration of a range of multi-agency meetings, including the statutory Safer Sutton Partnership Board.  The post holder is also responsible for supporting the Team's communication with internal and external stakeholders, including partners like the Police, MOPAC, as well as enquiries from elected Members and the general public.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating responses to enquiries from internal and external partners, elected Members and the general public.
  • Coordinating and minuting a range of operational and strategic level meetings and Boards. 
  • Providing general administrative/business support functions to the team.
  • Raising requisitions for goods and services commissioned by the team.
  • Supporting the team with funding applications and performance reporting to MOPAC/VRU via Flexigrant.
About you
  • The successful candidate will have extensive experience of leading on a range of administrative/business support functions within a multi-agency setting.
  • The postholder will need to be well organised and demonstrate an ability to use their own initiative and problem solve.
  • They will need to demonstrate verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of individuals, from senior leaders to members of the public. Previous experience of communication with elected members would be desirable. 
  • Experience of using Business World/Agresso and Google suite products would also be desirable.
