This is a very exciting opportunity for new and experienced managers to join a service which is changing practice with disabled children and young adults in order to offer them an outstanding service. We have completed our restructuring, which enables us to offer continuity of services to our children and families from 0 to 25 in line with The Children and Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice 2015 and other relevant legislation and guidance.
Successful candidates will join an experienced and fully permanent management team. You will lead a team of social work practice consultants, social workers, social work assistants and a short break coordinator to provide direct services to disabled children and young people and support our vision of improving education, health and well-being outcomes for them. Working in partnership with schools, health colleagues and other local partners we are committed to providing better futures for all of the young people we work with.

We are looking for creative, dynamic, aspirational individuals to work as a Team Manager (who are registered with Social Work England). You will need to have excellent communication skills, experience in managing students or a team of social workers and be enthusiastic about working with disabled children, young people and their families.
This role will offer you the opportunity to be part of a permanent management group in the Disabled Children and Young People Service (0-25). You will have supportive manager and will work within a dedicated team of colleagues with a good knowledge and understanding of disabled children and young people and the challenges that they face.
