About the role

We have an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced social worker to act as a Practice Development Lead 2 days per week.

Practice Development Lead’s work within the small and friendly Workforce and Practice Development Team. We are non-case holding, working closely with individuals, teams and services across Children’s Social Care and Youth Justice to promote the development of staff.

This post will lead on supporting the development of trainee Practice Educators and Newly Qualified Social Workers. There will also be the opportunity to develop skills in quality assurance, project management, supervision and delivering training.

About you:

A qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England with experience of and passion for developing social work practice to achieve good outcomes for children and families

Hold a PEPS 2 (or equivalent)/ Experience of Practice Assessing trainee Practice Educators and/or NQSWs

Proactive, with creative problem solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively in providing agile support for practitioners and their managers
