About the role

The role of a Team Leader will include the management oversight of at least 4 social workers who have a diverse and complex caseload. As well as contributing to, and supporting the development of best practice, including use of audit and quality assurance measures and delivery of training.

We are offering a £3000 welcome bonus plus a £3000 annual market supplement for this role!

About you

About the role

As a Team Leader in Permanency an essential part of your leadership role will be to develop good quality partnerships with children, families and partner agencies. You will ensure the staff you manage are able to develop their professional careers. There is a key element to this role in regards to promoting and developing a culture of learning within the service. You will have responsibility for working with other leaders and managers across the organisation to provide a very high standard of service to vulnerable children. In this role you will be expected to have knowledge in the child and family social work and specialist knowledge in Permanence.

  • Supervise at least 4 social workers
  • Lead of aspects of good practice pertaining to Permanency
  • Contribute to required performance and business related reports
  • Ensure good management oversight of cases and guidance

Achieving for Children (AfC) is a community interest company (a not-for-profit social enterprise) created in 2014 by the Royal Borough of Kingston and the London Borough of Richmond to provide their children’s services.
