The Waltham Forest ASYE programme is a comprehensive introduction to the profession for NQSWs, with monthly dedicated training, on-the-job targeted learning and reflective safe spaces. Successful applicants will be supported by our professional practice lead and our emphasis is on learning and reflection so that NQSWs finish their ASYE experienced and confident in their role and their identity as a social worker.
Over the years our ASYE programme has produced several Newly Qualified Social Workers who have been recognised by both internal and external stakeholders for the high quality of their work. We are proud that we have been able to offer NQSWs the right kind of support and mentoring to help them excel. Promoting creativity is at the heart of our agenda to develop social work; you will be encouraged to share ideas, bring about positive change, and strive to continuously improve outcomes for our vulnerable children and young people.
