About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for three experienced and highly skilled Programme Managers on a 18-month Fixed-Term basis, who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of Children and vulnerable adults in Barking and Dagenham. As a Programme Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of one of the improvement programmes: Adult’s Social Care Improvement Programme, Children’s Social Care Improvement Programme, or the Learning Disability & Autism Transformation Programme.

These roles involve managing a mix of statutory improvement projects aimed at achieving a CQC good rating and savings/efficiency projects designed to realise over £7 million in savings and cost avoidance across all three projects.

You are looking for a lead role where you can leverage your problem-solving skills and collaborate with teams and leaders across the organisation. We operate with a hybrid work model, requiring successful candidates to attend the office or designated work location for a minimum of 3 days per week, one of which must be a Monday or Friday.

About you
  • Previous experience delivering change within the complex statutory settings of adult and children's social care in England is essential.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification/training (e.g., PRINCE 2, Agile, MSP) or equivalent experience is required.
  • You are a skilled Programme Manager with experience delivering change within a complex statutory services environment. You excel in communication and facilitation, with a proven track record of presenting to groups at all organisational levels and managing multiple successful projects. Your strong risk and issue management skills complement your experience in business change, process redesign, digital improvement, health integration, and savings realisation projects.

    You are looking for a lead role where you can leverage your problem-solving skills and collaborate with teams and leaders across the organisation. You are passionate about making a difference, focused on value for money, and enthusiastic about joining the improvement journey in Barking and Dagenham.

    Please note this is an 18-month Fixed-Term contract.
