The London Borough of Camden’s recent social work recruitment event was well attended by social workers.

Held in Camden’s main offices at 5 Pancras Square, the 50 attendees heard from staff across children’s services. Attendees met with social work colleagues throughout the day to get a feel for what it’s like to work in the borough.

There was a range of activities across the day. This included a roundtable discussion led by Tim Aldridge, Camden’s Executive Director of Children and Learning, and Nana Bonsu, the borough’s Director for Relational Practice. This conversation included several social workers and provided a snapshot of Camden's vision for the future of Social Work. Watch the full session below:

Other events included a speech from Rashida Baig, Camden's Director of Family Help and Safeguarding, and a second roundtable led by various service leads, who discusses working and leadership at Camden.

“It was fantastic to meet so many passionate social workers, the atmosphere in the room was palpable - there was a real excitement for the future of social care in Camden. I hope we can welcome those who attended as new colleagues very soon.”

Tim Aldridge, Camden
