This year’s theme, “Buen Vivir”, encapsulated the spirit of Brent’s work. Over 200 attendees heard first hand accounts of the positive changes that Brent's social work practitioners have brought to people's lives. The sessions included hearing from practitioners themselves about the impact they made, demonstrating how they have ‘grown’ in Brent using the array of tools and practice methodologies that they have access to.
Nigel Chapman, Brent's Corporate Director, was proud to see that their conference was a resounding success.
"This was a collaborative event with adult services social workers using the principles of Buen Vivir, and bringing our values, behaviours and anti-racist practice to the fore of our work with children and adults" Nigel Chapman, Director Children's Services, Brent Council

"In Brent, we know how to celebrate! The commitment and support of managers at all levels to help front line practitioners succeed in whatever challenge they come across is amazing. That’s why we are the place to be right now!" Palvinder Kudhail, Director Early Help and Social Care, Brent Council
